Jefferson County DUI Task Force

Including Basin, Boulder, Cardwell, Clancy, Elk Park, Jefferson City, Montana City, and Whitehall, MT

 
Mission Statement
It is the mission of this Task Force to reduce alcohol and drug related motor vehicle accidents, injuries and deaths in Jefferson County. Efforts will include education regarding alcohol/ drug consequences, promotion of healthy choices and community involvement.

Meetings 

Task Force Meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month, in the Courthouse Law Library, Boulder or at the Whitehall Middle School Conference Room (meetings alternate between the two locations). Meetings begin at 6 pm. The Public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Minutes will be posted on this website shortly thereafter.

Governor Judy Martz and Attorney General Mike McGrath jointly formed the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Control Policy Task Force to address the drug and substance abuse issues facing Montana. The goal of the bi-partisan Task Force is to collaboratively develop a statewide drug control strategy. This drug control strategy will serve as a comprehensive plan for the coordination of all drug control efforts - including enforcement, education, prevention, and treatment.

Contact for car seat, airbag, and DUI resources and programs including information on county DUI task forces; this bureau also works with Office of Public Instruction to fund alcohol abuse prevention and seat belt use programs in the high schools.
